Position Description

Position Title: Mini- Bus Driver

Department:  Transportation

Reports To:  Transportation Director

Summary:  Provides a safe trip to and from school for students.  Abides by all local, state, and federal laws. 

Education and/or Experience:  High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have a valid Indiana Drivers License.

Mini Bus Drivers Pay

Mini bus trips are considered to be part time positions without benefits.  The starting pay is $43.31 per day plus $0.20 per loaded mile based on what is turned in with each bi-weekly payroll.  Drivers will be paid bi-weekly after turning in a time sheet.  This time sheet must include, but is not limited to, date, nature of trip, time and place of departure, mileage at departure, destination, return time, return mileage, round trip mileage, and total time for trip.  One trip is designated as a loop beginning at the driver’s first stop until they return home and is generally completed in the morning and the afternoon.  The transportation director and the superintendent will determine what constitutes one or more trips.  All new mini bus routes must be approved by the Superintendent prior to the start of the route.
